Everyone is welcome at CERN Games Club—you don't need to be a member to play games. Just show up and take part!
However, we encourage regular players to join the club as signed-up members. Membership subscriptions are used to buy new games, and members have the opportunity to propose and vote on which games the club buys (usually once per year).
External club members
The CERN Games Club is open to anyone in the local area and likes to play games. You don't have to work at CERN.
Players who are not in possession of a CERN access card can register (on Indico) as a visitor for the public games sessions. CERN rules allow you to come on site as a visitor a maximum of five times per year. If you wish to keep playing after that, you should join the club as an official member.
The membership fee is SFr. 10,- per year. This is the minimum membership fee for CERN clubs set by the CERN Staff Association. Membership is free for members of the Staff Association.
